Golden Heron
Perched on an old pillar, still standing from when the Cassiar Cannery was in it’s prime as one of Northern BC’s main fish canneries, a Great blue heron takes in the golden sunset flooding the channel.
Inspired by her Residency stay at the Cannery in the spring of 2024, Sarah created this bright, warm painting to remind her of the uncharacteristically sunny days she spent along Canada’s wettest coastline.
Cradled wood 6” X 6” piece
